IRE was started in 1986 and is the only non profit, community run rural exchange in Australia to offer youth a quality rural exchange experience.

Through a network of partners in North and South America, Europe, South Africa, Asia and New Zealand, IRE can assist Aussies to work and travel abroad and also place Internationals across Australia. Placement categories include agriculture, horticulture, apiary, wine and equine.
