important visa update
If you have previously had a J1 visa, you may
now be able to return to the US on a J1 or E3 provided certain requirements
are met. please contact IRE for more info.
This is your opportunity to gain valuable experience
and training, see the US wine industry from the inside and gain
lifelong OS contacts.
IRE is working with 2 partners in the US to provide
you with enology placements since 1992.
placements available in:
California, Washington, Oregon and some Eastern States.
It is possible to arrange your own placement and
IRE with our partner will provide you with our full assistance.
Placements are also available in France if you
can speak basic - good French. It also helps to have an ISIC card.

Positions are available in cellar, laboratory and vineyard.
The more information you give as to your knowledge,
skills, experience, and what you would like out of this training,
the better our partner can align you with the perfect winery for
you.
requirements:
- You should be single and in good health
- Aged between 21 - 35
- Have had two years practical experience (a minimum of one vintage)
- Have a valid driver's license and international driving permit
- Have the desire to learn different techniques
- Be free of a criminal record
- Must hold comprehensive travel insurance for the duration of
your trip

placements available from:
July/early Sept - mid Nov/Dec, depending on season and region.
Placements are generally 3 - 5 months, but longer places are also
available.
You will also have 30 days to travel after your placement has ended.
